The Dip Into Reading campaign continues at Awen Libraries

Reading a little each day can make a big difference! Reading delivers noticeable health and wellbeing benefits including better sleep, decreased stress and reduced feelings of loneliness.

Here at our Awen libraries we are continuing to support the Dip into Reading campaign. We have plenty of resources available at each of our libraries to help promote small amounts of reading each week to support people’s mental health and wellbeing.

We have the following available:

  • Reading Groups
  • Large book stock – no fines for overdue books!
  • Large Print titles
  • Talking Books for people who are on the go
  • eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • eMagazines

And so much more!

During our opening hours, our library doors are always open for a Warm Welcome. If you ever want to call in for a cuppa and a chat, you are always welcome. We have tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and more completelyfree. We also have a range of jigsaws, newspapers, magazines, games and more.

Richard Hughes, Awen Cultural Trusts Chief Executive said “I’m so pleased that Awen is taking part in the Dip Into Reading initiative. Reading helps us feel better, helps us switch off and helps us learn more about the world around us. There are countless benefits to reading and whether you’re an avid reader or just starting out, Awen Libraries are here to give you a helping hand”.
