Gweithgareddau STEM – STEM Activities

Awen libraries have many free and fun activities available for the children this summer. Thanks to the Summer of Fun funding from BCBC and the Welsh Government, we can provide STEM activities from all our libraries and other locations.

We have the fantastic team from Mad Science who are running workshops for the children that are fun and hands on. We also have The Takeover Academy providing YouTube workshops, if your child wants to learn about how to become a YouTube star in the making. If coding or 3D printing sparks an interest in your child’s creative brain, our very own Rob and John from Pencoed Library are doing a tour of all the libraries providing workshops on these skills.

But don’t panic if science isn’t your kids’ thing! We have many more workshops for them to try including comic book designing, dancing, Drag Story Hour UK, and the fabulous author Pip Jones who is returning to design gizmos with the children, inspired by her fantastic series of books about the character Izzy Gizmo.

Contact your local Awen Library for more details on all the workshops we have available this summer.
